January 2012) Port of Egypt Marine (62300 Main Road, Southold, NY 11971, 41.04.34 N and 72.24.16 W, 631.765.2445www.poemarine.com) continues to host Canvas & Cocktails art classes in March led by local artist Rita Rooney (www.canvasandcocktailsny.com) who will guide compositions of a St. Patrick’s themed painting of an Irish country landscape. A special deal for overnight-stay at the on-property Heron Suites (www.poemarine.com/accommodations) at the legendary Port of Egypt Marina will also be available.

Three class dates include Friday, March 9 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.; Saturday, March 10 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.; and Saturday, March 10 from 7 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.

The cost is $40 per person for tutorial and materials in a class of up to 20 people who are asked to bring their own beverage of choice. A special overnight rate of $79 is available at the marina’s on-property Heron Suites. Reservations are recommended by calling 631.765.2445.
